Stop Animal Cruelty!

The nature of relationship between human and animals is very complex. For decades we have known, they are one of our sources of food; livestock, scientific research material, friend etc. This relationship is a highly EMOtive topic, which has stimulated passionate pleas worldwide for a reconsideration of our attitudes towards and treatment of other animal species.

In Islam, Muslims are encouraged to treat animals with compassion and not to abuse them. The animals and all the creation also praises Allah, even if this praise is not expressed in human language.

Judaism teaches that we are forbidden to be cruel to animals and that we must treat them with compassion. Perhaps the Jewish attitude toward animals is best summarized by the statement in Proverbs 12:10, "The righteous person regards the life of his animal”.

In Christianity, Jesus is described as "The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29. Jesus identified Himself with all the innocent animals who had been sacrificed for the sins of mankind and declared that His was the final sacrifice. Jesus abolished animal sacrifices and so Christianity has always rejected the need for further bloodshed of animals (Hebrews 9:12, 26).

In Buddhism, Buddhists believe that is wrong to hurt or kill animals, because all beings are afraid of injury and death:

All living things fear being beaten with clubs. All living things fear being put to death.Putting oneself in the place of the other,Let no one kill nor cause another to kill.Dhammapada 129

So why there is still cruelty to animals?

there's still animal cruelty just as there are still all other shit in this world. no matter wat religion teach us, if we do not abide by them, there's still no use.

if we have conscience, and not have the 'heart' to do so, we wouldn't. some ppl are sadists coz they choose to be.
